Dr. Marianna Kaufman has been a Florida native since childhood. She graduated from the University of Miami with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and double minors in Biology and Chemistry. In 2002, Dr. Kaufman received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry.
Since opening her Wellington, Florida, practice in 2006, Dr. Kaufman has been committed to offering her best to every patient, every day. Her thirst for knowledge and dedication to her patients have propelled her to become one of the most outstanding dentists in the region. Dr. Kaufman has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education in cosmetic dentistry, neuromuscular dentistry, holistic dentistry, orthodontics, and sleep apnea. With this training, she provides the most comprehensive approach possible when treating her patients.
In addition to her uncompromising approach to the beauty of her cosmetic outcomes, Dr. Kaufman’s education and experience allow her to treat complex dental problems as well as chronic, whole-body conditions originating in the head and neck. Over her decades of practice, Dr. Kaufman has focused on identifying the root causes of her patients' dental problems. Her extensive postdoctoral coursework has earned her Fellowship status in Neuromuscular/Physiological Dentistry from the esteemed Las Vegas Institute (LVI), a distinction held by less than 1% of practicing dentists. Furthermore, she has achieved Diplomate status in sleep dentistry, with a focus on airway quality, providing valuable insights into the origins of many dental conditions.
Dr. Kaufman’s robust training, experience, and intuition have given her the ability to consider “the big picture” when addressing her patients' unique treatment needs. She considers herself a "doctor of the mouth" and, as such, evaluates supporting soft tissues, muscles, TMJ, airway, breathing patterns, and diet, in addition to teeth and gums. Dr. Kaufman’s strong scientific, functional, and cosmetic training, coupled with a holistic approach and commitment to non-toxic materials, sets her apart from her colleagues.
Within her practice and beyond, Dr. Kaufman believes that teaching prevention of oral diseases is the most valuable lesson she can provide. She has a unique ability to explain how physiological development, combined with lifestyle and habits, influences oral and overall health. She lectures on this and many other holistic principles at Hippocrates, a prestigious wellness institute in West Palm Beach, Florida.
When she isn’t caring for her patients, Dr. Kaufman enjoys spending time with her husband and their teenage son. Together, they enjoy outdoor activities, SCUBA diving, and traveling.

What Is A Dental Implant?
The implant body or post is the portion of the implant that is inserted into the jawbone. The implant body integrates with the jawbone and becomes the anchor for the new tooth.
The implant abutment is the portion of the dental implant inside the crown. Sometimes the abutment is created with the implant body as one piece. Other times, it is separate and attached to the implant with a screw. The abutment shapes the gum tissue and supports the crown.
The dental implant crown is the portion of the dental implant you see, but if done correctly, no one can tell it is not a natural tooth. The crown is bonded or cemented to the implant abutment and is commonly made of a ceramic or zirconia material because of its naturally white color and strength.
