Meet your exclusive Stamford-based
ceramic implant expert
Dr. Leonard Kundel
I am Dr. Lenny Kundel, a proud 1999 graduate of Tufts University School of Dentistry. I have also earned a Masters of Science in Specialized Orthodontics Degree from the International Medical College at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
Following a year of residency at Montefiore Hospital and several associateships, I have established private practices in Stamford, Connecticut and New York City.
My motto is “Your mouth is connected to your body and so it should be treated as such.” While it is not always possible to completely avoid intervention, it is certainly possible to be kind about it. Education of adults and children is my essential task and responsibility. I spend time helping my patients decide what is right for them. Proper home care is the single most important factor that determines if teeth will be around for a lifetime. I want for your child to have the tools necessary to grow up with a healthy mouth and body.
My mission for patients is to walk away from dental appointment knowing more. You will know how to help yourself and your child have healthy beautiful smile and a healthier and stronger body.
Besides general gentle dentistry, I am addressing the problems that have to do with:
- Breastfeeding difficulties
- Growth and development in children
- Sleep-disordered breathing in children and adults
- Jaw joint related disorders
- Chronic oral inflammatory diseases known to increase risk factors for common medical problems
I have been studying Oral – Systemic connection for nearly two decades. It has been my passion from day one. My path has taken me from being an orthodontic patient, and, as a result, to a TMJ patient, to a dentist that helps people with jaw pain. The understanding of connection between mouth and body is a foundation for my practice.
It is this understanding that empowers me to assist moms and infants with breastfeeding as well as help children with growth and development. The ALF approach is the most “whole body” friendly dental treatment with benefits that last a lifetime. Building bridges between medical and dental communities brings results for our patients that were not possible before.
As a dentist in Stamford, CT, I try to stay on the cusp of current knowledge by being member of organizations that provide invaluable information and encourage forward thinking.
To be of service is a meaningful, gratifying, and fulfilling experience that begins anew every single day. My debt of gratitude is to my many mentors who spent the time and energy to teach and share the information. I want to thank all my patients who put their trust in me and propel me forward to continue advancing.

Z-Systems Ceramic Implants
Exclusively in Stamford from Dr. Leonard Kundel
The Only FDA Approved 100 % Metal Free Implants, Superior to Titanium Implants in Many Areas:
More natural.
Bones and gums integrate better with zirconium oxide ceramics.
Healthier.
Z-SYSTEMS implants are metal-free, biocompatible, conduct neither heat nor electrical energy, and cause no irritation to the immune system.

Stronger.
Ceramic is much stronger than titanium.

Thanks to the white material, no gray shadows are visible even with thin or receding gums.
More visible.
Ceramic implants are opaque to X-rays, and easier to recognize in critical situations.
