Dr. John Roberts | Ceramic Dental Implant Dentist In Huddersfield, UK

Meet your exclusive Huddersfield-based
ceramic implant expert

Dr. John Roberts

I am John Roberts, the principal dentist and dental coach at Cote Royd Dental Practice.

I’ve been a dental practitioner since December 1981, set up my first practice in Rochdale in 1987 and have been based in Huddersfield since 2003.

I believe patients education and patient choice is paramount to building a partnership and trust between the patient and all of the team at Cote Royd Dental Practice.

The whole team looks to work with you to deliver a dental care journey you will appreciate and enjoy.

I understand the connection between someone’s dental health their previous dental care and how this could affect a person’s health.

I’ve been attending and teaching alternative medicine and dentistry courses in the UK, Europe and the USA and have incorporated my knowledge into my dental work though out the 25 years of my career.

The team are committed to improving and helping maintain a patient’s general dental health. Advice is given, from helping parents of new born babies on breast feeding and its influence in the growth of the jaws, to helping older people who want to avoid dentures or have a toxin free mouth.

There are treatments, protocols and materials we do not use at Cote Royd Dental Practice. This is because of our concerns about the safety to myself, our staff, our patients and also the environment. We offer dental alternatives to all of these or can refer patients if they chose treatments we do not provide.

The emphasis of the practice was on preventive and holistic dental care treating the patient’s wellbeing as well as their teeth.

Z-Systems Ceramic Implants
Exclusively in Huddersfield from Dr. John Roberts

The Only FDA Approved 100 % Metal Free Implants, Superior to Titanium Implants in Many Areas:

More natural.

Bones and gums integrate better with zirconium oxide ceramics.

Healthier.

Z-SYSTEMS implants are metal-free, biocompatible, conduct neither heat nor electrical energy, and cause no irritation to the immune system.

More sustainable.

Less plaque accretion than on titanium. This reduces the risk of perimplantitis as well as cardiovascular diseases and strokes.

Stronger.

Ceramic is much stronger than titanium.

More aesthetic.

Thanks to the white material, no gray shadows are visible even with thin or receding gums.

More visible.

Ceramic implants are opaque to X-rays, and easier to recognize in critical situations.

What Is A Dental Implant?

Ceramic Dental Implant Screw Diagram

The implant body or post is the portion of the implant that is inserted into the jawbone. The implant body integrates with the jawbone and becomes the anchor for the new tooth.

Ceramic Dental Implant Abutment Diagram

The implant abutment is the portion of the dental implant inside the crown. Sometimes the abutment is created with the implant body as one piece. Other times, it is separate and attached to the implant with a screw. The abutment shapes the gum tissue and supports the crown.

Ceramic Dental Implant Crown Diagram

The dental implant crown is the portion of the dental implant you see, but if done correctly, no one can tell it is not a natural tooth. The crown is bonded or cemented to the implant abutment and is commonly made of a ceramic or zirconia material because of its naturally white color and strength.
