Dr. Amir Jamsheed
I became a dentist because as a child I remember always being intrigued by people’s smiles and I would always focus on them and how I felt like they could be improved.
As I got older, I became more and more fascinated with oral health and the importance the mouth had on the health of the human body as a whole. After high school, I decided that I wanted to learn as much as possible about the mouth and teeth so I could improve people’s smile and help educate them so that they can hopefully keep their teeth for their whole life! As my passion grew and I graduated dental school, I began to see and help as many patients as I could.
To this day, I still get tremendous satisfaction with every patient I am able to help. A smile brings happiness, and I am proud to be a provider that can help spread health and happiness to the world.

Dr. Amir H. Jamsheed is a leading dentist practicing at Encino Dental Studio, located on Ventura Boulevard in Encino, California and serving Tarzana, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Van Nuys, North Hollywood and surrounding areas. Dr. Jamsheed provides a wide variety of dental services including orthodontic treatments such as Invisalign®, dental implants, veneers, crowns, teeth whitening, root canals, oral surgeries, emergency dental services, and treatment for sleep apnea. Dr. Jamsheed is dedicated to his patients and takes the time to ensure they understand their dental health and what they can do to prevent tooth decay and damage. His goal is to help his patients keep their teeth for a lifetime and educates his patients on the importance of regular visits.
Dr. Jamsheed is a Southern California native, born and raised in Torrance, California. While pursuing his undergraduate degree from UCLA, Dr. Jamsheed was the recipient of three different scholarships. He received his Bachelor's of Science degree in Biochemistry in 2002. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the prestigious University of Southern California in 2006 with multiple Dean’s List honors. Dr. Jamsheed is a current member of the ADA, CDA, and Kern County Dental Society.
Dr. Jamsheed is committed to delivering the highest quality care to his patients. In addition to his formal education, Dr. Jamsheed continuously furthers his knowledge of dentistry by attending continuing education seminars. His experience, caring personality, and dedication, as well as his in-depth understanding of today’s technology, allow Dr. Jamsheed to offer the latest dental care to his patients while keeping in mind affordability for all treatments. In his free time, Dr. Jamsheed loves to spend time with his amazing wife and 3 kids, hiking, and playing basketball.

What Is A Dental Implant?
The implant body or post is the portion of the implant that is inserted into the jawbone. The implant body integrates with the jawbone and becomes the anchor for the new tooth.
The implant abutment is the portion of the dental implant inside the crown. Sometimes the abutment is created with the implant body as one piece. Other times, it is separate and attached to the implant with a screw. The abutment shapes the gum tissue and supports the crown.
The dental implant crown is the portion of the dental implant you see, but if done correctly, no one can tell it is not a natural tooth. The crown is bonded or cemented to the implant abutment and is commonly made of a ceramic or zirconia material because of its naturally white color and strength.
