Dr. Seth Gilson
DR. SETH GILSON DMD
Dr. Seth Gilson is an individual inspired by nature, a healthy balanced lifestyle grounded in mindfulness principles and the love displayed in one’s actions. He was born and raised in South Florida, graduated with a degree in biology from the University of Florida, completed dental school at Nova Southeastern University and has been in private practice since 2011. Dr. Gilson is a practicing Biological and Holistic dentist as well as a certified yoga teacher. He has backgrounds in both clinical functional medicine principles as well as clinical research experience in the hospital setting. Through these experiences Dr. Gilson has developed a passion for learning and sharing impact-full information regarding health and the benefits of lifestyle choices founded on the principles of functional medicine and functional dentistry to create balance and restore the bodies innate healing capabilities. This passion led him to create the brand called “Mindful Doctor” as well as a podcast called “The Art of Mindful Medicine” which can be viewed on his Instagram (@Mindful.Doctor), YouTube, Apple and Spotify channels. Dr. Gilson has also been participating in and leading Conscious Men’s Community Groups since 2021.
To create health, Dr. Gilson believes, is a unique process and journey for each individual and he is honored by the opportunity’s given to him by his patients. His practice philosophy is based on the premise, we cannot be healthy without a healthy mouth.

What Is A Dental Implant?
The implant body or post is the portion of the implant that is inserted into the jawbone. The implant body integrates with the jawbone and becomes the anchor for the new tooth.
The implant abutment is the portion of the dental implant inside the crown. Sometimes the abutment is created with the implant body as one piece. Other times, it is separate and attached to the implant with a screw. The abutment shapes the gum tissue and supports the crown.
The dental implant crown is the portion of the dental implant you see, but if done correctly, no one can tell it is not a natural tooth. The crown is bonded or cemented to the implant abutment and is commonly made of a ceramic or zirconia material because of its naturally white color and strength.
